    Absolutely loved this course. It’s super quick so there’s no fluff and is perfect if you want to create great reels, but also feel a bit limited because you just have your phone and Instagram. Most other courses I’ve found are way too advanced, need a bunch of equipment and need a separate editing software like Adobe, which isn’t something I was personally interested in.     Very Disappointed – Not What I Expected at All

    I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled after taking Insta-Ready: How To Film Cinematic Reels With Your Phone by Maria Wendt. The title is incredibly misleading—there was very little instruction on how to actually film cinematic reels. She uses her iPhone on default settings and gives no real guidance on camera techniques, editing, or settings that would elevate content.

    The majority of the course focused on packing outfits, choosing accessories, and scouting locations. While those things can be helpful, I signed up to learn how to film—not how to plan a photo shoot.

    To make matters worse, I paid for add-ons that were absolutely not worth it. Overall, the content felt shallow, repetitive, and not at all what was advertised.

    Save your money and your time. There are far better resources out there.
